Sand & Stories

Sand & Stories is a gentle, trauma-informed creative space where storytelling begins in the hands rather than the page. Using sand trays, miniature symbols and sensory materials, participants build 3D sandscapes/small worlds that reflect feelings, memories and imagination. From there, stories emerge naturally through guided reflection and supportive conversation. This approach is particularly powerful for children and young people who find verbal expression difficult, offering an alternative way to communicate safely.  Each session is carefully held, paced and responsive to the emotional needs of the group.
